In Metro Vancouver, Urgent and Primary Care Centres (UPCCs) are designed to treat non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses that need attention within 24 hours. If you have a sprain, a minor cut needing stitches, or a high fever, a UPCC is often a faster alternative than a hospital Emergency Room.
